The Sr Project Manager position is part of the Project Office and reports to a Research Manager. This position will be responsible of:
A) supporting his/her Research Manager by: • Managing a team of test engineers, senior test engineers, research engineers, project engineers and managers with respect to project/proposal life cycles and their career evolution within the Institute. • participating in daily portfolio management activities, such as collaborating with the Project Office, Faculty and Assets & Resources for the progress of his/her proposals/projects. • supporting the strategic development of research expertise group roadmaps
B) And: • take the project management responsibility of medium to large size research projects in order to reach the project scope, planning and cost objectives • participate in market surveillance activities for early identification of contract opportunities and to take the proposal management responsibility of medium to large size proposals • identify, protect & valorize the IP generated during his/her projects • take in charge multiple engineering activities related to his/her fields of knowledge within one or more proposals & projects of the Project Office.
Requirements and Qualifications
• Master in Engineering Sciences in fluid dynamics (or another relevant field) • Project Management Certification (PMI PMP level or similar) • Min 5 years ‘experience in R&D • Min 5 years’ experience of Project/Proposal Management • A first experience in People Management • Leadership and coaching skills • Team spirit • Extensive professional network • Strong IP awareness • Organizational skills and problem-solving capabilities • Written & oral communication skills in technical English (Able to write technical reports and presentations)
